Tillingham Field Blend One

The Tillingham Domain wines are the very first wines made from grapes grown biodynamically at Tillingham - the culmination of four years of toil and discovery, and an indication of what lies ahead. Only a tiny amount has been made, all in 500ml bottles - they are all extremely, extremely limited! Field Blend One is a blend of six aromatic white varietals, from the first pick of the harvest. Grapes were hand-sorted then whole bunches trodden by foot. Soaked for twenty-four hours and pressed straight to five-year-old barrels for fermentation. Racked into a stainless steel tank after three months by gravity. Occasional batonnage. It's rose gold in appearance, with lifted aromas of elderflower, greengage and pear. Rounded acidity and a touch of grip from the maceration.

Grapes: 43% Ortega, 13% Bacchus, 34% Faberebe, 3.5% Siegerebe, 3.5% Huxelrebe, 0.8% Madeleine Angevine
