The Kernel
The Kernel Wet Hop Bitter
The Kernel Wet Hop Bitter
Brewery description
Pours quite a dark brown, smells malty, chocolatey with hints of earth, wood and iron. The texture is soft, gentle, beautiful. The hops are there, but not over emphasised. The malt and hops match with equally mild intensity. There is a freshness you'd hope to find the ridiclous amount of fresh hops we used. Some interesting delicate liquorice and herbal flavours meld with some classic English-hop flavours, earth, hedgerow, wood. There's a celery like crunch, some oaty, flapjack flavours. It's flavours are refined so that you almost instantly need another sip to uncover the more nuanced aspects. Despite the rather abstract tasting notes, it's all in all a very round and incredibly delicious beer.
