We tweak the recipe for this beer with every annual release and this time we’ve gone for a slightly lower ABV, which helps to keeps costs down – hurray! In all other respects though this is every bit the big, tasty, indulgent winter warmer that gives us an inner glow as temperatures drop outside.

As always, rather than incorporating cloves, cinnamon and the like into the recipe we’ve used traditional brewing and fermentation methods to drive festive flavours of fruit, sherry and subtle spice; long boils, careful grain selection and of course the Belgian yeast all combine to create huge aromas of banana, fig and warming booze.
