Newbarns (x Holy Goat) Berliner

Our first foray as a brewery into the world of mixed fermentation is this classic Berliner Weisse style beer, in collaboration with our friends in Dundee, experts of the style, Holy Goat Brewing. Brewed with extra pale malt, and raw wheat from Scotland the Bread in Fife, this relatively simple base beer was co-fermented with our house lager yeast and their mixed culture of wild yeasts and bacteria before being dry-hopped lightly with one of our favourite German hop varieties, Ariana, to make a tart and refreshing Berliner, with notes of bruised cider apple, and green Fruit Pastilles.
