Mills Bière de Garde Blend 5

This is our fifth edition of Biere de Garde. It was produced from a single barrel of beer produced in November 2022.

The wort was made from traditional floor-malted Munich-style malt, to give rich and dry, toasty aromatics, as well as plenty of body. Aged hops were used in the boil to allow the malt flavours to shine, whilst limiting acid production during the slow spontaneous fermentation. The bottles pere primed with molasses sugar to add further depth of flavour, before natural conditioning in bottle.

The resulting beer is dry and toasty, with balancing acidity and funk.
