Manchester Union Alt Beer

ALT is our modern interpretation of a German Alt Beer, an extension of a beer we brewed with Lervig in 2019 (rød). The copper appearance denotes a malty, bready, and slight toffee backbone and the addition of Hersbrucker and Aurora hops deliver a fruity, citrus aroma and taste culminating in a dry, refreshing finish.

Lagering is a term given to the cold storage of beer, typically lagers are also made using lager yeast but not exclusively. Alt beers from Dusseldorf are made with ale yeast before undergoing a lagering process.
