Logsdon Farmhouse Spontané Blanc

Spontané Blanc is a sparkling wine-inspired addition to our Spontané series featuring Gewürztraminer and Riesling from White Salmon Vineyards. The wort is cooled and spontaneously inoculated in our koelship overnight before fermenting and ageing in French oak casks. The beer is comprised of 2-year old casks aged for 6 months on whole 2017 Gewürztraminer grapes, blended with 1-year old casks aged with Riesling juice.

The result is a beautiful marriage of sour funky complexity from the spontaneous fermentation, and notes of spice, gooseberry, and acid from the grapes. A true taste of our locale, Spontané Blanc is bottled with pear juice to induce bottle refermentation for natural carbonation.
