Orange wine from Duoro, Portugal

Moscatel Galego clusters from 40 years old vineyards.The vineyards are located in the sub-region of Cima-Corgo (Alijó) and are at an average altitude of 600 meters.

Tiago Sampaio, established his label in 2007, having completed his PhD in Oregon. Tiago is an advocate for sustainable viticulture and the production of natural wines in the Douro. 

Destemming of whole berries into cement tank, without any mechanical extraction. Maceration on the skins during 4 months. No SO2 added, No finning or filtration. 

The extended skin contact gives it an intense yellow colour. Aromas of rose petals, lychees and tangerine. Medium-bodied palate with a chewy grapefruit core. Some tannin tension and medium acidity, leading to a prolonged finish.
