Pastry meets tiki – a pina colada inspired stout made featuring pineapple and toasted coconut. Chinook hops American Ale yeast Aromatic, Chocolate, Dark Crystal, Melanoidin, Oats, Pale, Roasted Barley malt Coconut, Lactose, Muscovado sugar, Pineapple adjuncts We decided to create a beer that would reflect our mutual love of frozen tropical cocktails and of course, pastry stouts.
As you might expect the beer is a big 12.8% stout, with a healthy amount of lactose and Mauritian muscovado sugar added in the boil. A big dose of pineapple puree was added during fermentation and to top it off the beer was conditioned on mounds of toasted coconut chips. What does the name mean?
