Crossover The Miller '19/20
Process : Pale wheat beer spontaneously fermented and aged for 8 months in a single 400 litre French oak barrel. The beer was moved onto Pinot Meunier grape pomace (stems, seeds, skins) in tank and punched down daily until referementation had calmed (around 2 weeks). The beer was on fruit for 6 weeks before packaging. The grape pomace was given to us by Daniel Ham from Offbeat Wines.
Conditioning: Packaged with a small amount of priming sugar for natural carbonation in the bottle. We do not add yeast at this point, or at any point in the process. Bottles laid to rest on side. This beer has conditioned for over 6 months on date of release.
Notes: A true crossover, blurring the lines between beer and wine. Red cherry and strawberry on the nose, with some intriguing earthy and faint floral aromas intertwined. The fruit flavours are maintained on the palate, with slight smokiness, black pepper, and subtle oak. Textured, good carbonation and light acidity.
750ml bottle, 7.1% ABV
