Gouden Carolus Indulgence '22 Festiva

Gouden Carolus Indulgence is a limited series of beers brewed every year with varying content. Festiva is the 8th taste expression released under this label. Louis and Anna Van Breedam bought the brewery in the Grand Beguinage in Mechelen exactly 150 years ago. This was the beginning of Het Anker, a real family story, in 1872. We are celebrating this anniversary with an exceptional beer. Our brewers discovered the taste of the Sauvignon grape in the New Zealand hop Nelson-Sauvin. This inspired them to brew a beer that was finished in France using the famous refermentation process attributed to the Benedictine monk Pérignon. The fine pearling and complex aromas that are created during the refermentation at cellar temperature lend this beer a refreshing, sparkling character. We raise a glass once again to the next 150 years!
